ICONS ARE BETTER #35: INNOCENT
Okay, so my vote goes to Innocent.
For me, they were the first smoothie brand to come into the market and really make a statement. Since they arrived, many have followed and tried to imitate, but Innocent still rules the roost. Their focus on nature, fun and health has made them a permanent feature in every life for so many people.
They have been clever with diversifying their products, whilst still retaining their original message and USP. They are instantly recognisable and have succeeded in winning the trust of the consumer as a reliable, honest and trustworthy brand.
Having started their journey on a very small scale, selling their product at festivals, they have grown hugely whilst still appearing to reflect their humble beginnings.
For me, Innocent is definitely an icon within the UK and a great example of how hard work and a well thought out product and message can get you far.
